Mom had the whitefish and french fries and raved about it!
We also got 2 cheeseburgers and onion rings, greasy spoon but oh so good. Fun outdoorsman local spot.
Really friendly service pool table on-site if hat's your game. Very reasonable prices -

Drove into Paradise around 9pm and nothing was open for nearby for food. We SHOULD have stopped in St. Ignace or Mackinaw City for dinner but it was getting dark and we wanted to keep driving. Fortunately, Silver Creek was still open for about a half hour more so we high tailed it over there.
Silver Creek is definitely a spot for outdoorsmen/hunters and townie folk. And for that it's great. Cheap beers, not a huge selection but they get the job done. Lots of upnorth/hunting lodge decor, a few TVs with that evening's sports games ablaze, jukebox, friendly waitress, and a smallish menu of bar food and the like (think burgers, fries, lots of fried sides like mushrooms and such, etc).
But when in the UP you go for the whitefish. And that's what my husband and I both had--the fish and chips. The breading on the fish had a little bit of dill in there and it wasn't heavy. It was served with crispy french fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. Now, I've definitely had better fish and chips, even in the region, but in that moment, starving and grateful for the hospitatlity, it really did the trick! -

We made a random stop here and was the highlight of our weekend. This hometown hideaway bar had the best people to chat with and awesome staff that kept us laughing the whole time. The food was delicious and the drinks were strong. Don't drive by without stopping, you will love it. Brandon and Penny was awesome to us and very friendly and welcoming, just great people. If you run into Sliver aka Mark and his bud Ernie you will be laughing the whole night. If I head back up this was I will DEFINITELY RETURN....
